Cranberry Relish

Looking for something new and different to do with cranberries?

This is a fresh cranberry relish that makes a wonderful holiday treat for Thanksgiving or Christmas meals:

1 bag fresh cranberries
1 orange
1 apple

Sugar - this is to taste, you can add sugar if you need to.
You need a meat grinder to do this.

slice orange(s) into several wedges
slice apple(s) into several wedges

Feed alternating amounts of cranberries, orange wedge and apple wedge
into the meat grinder and grind.  There will be lots of "popping" as the
cranberries are crushed and lots of juice.  It can be a little messy.
Children have fun helping because of the noise the cranberries make.

This makes a great "chunky" cranberry relish.   Now for the amazing
part.  You can use this as an ice cream topping.  This cranberry relish
tastes wonderful on top of vanilla ice cream.

Tastes best if you allow it to sit in fridge 24-48 hours for flavors to
come together.
